Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sol Kwon (ranked 2251 p4p, 277 weight class) and DeMar DeRozan (ranked 1394 p4p, 190 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sol Kwon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, DeMar DeRozan!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeRozan moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
DeRozan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kwon.
Kwon checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kwon was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
DeRozan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Sol Kwon has been cut.
Kwon throws a hook but DeRozan avoids it easily.
DeRozan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kwon.
DeRozan tries a quick counter leg kick but Kwon is wise to it.
DeRozan has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kwon is landing a low percentage of strikes.
DeRozan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kwon avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
DeRozan lands with an overhand left.
Kwon just misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kwon looks to score with a jab to the body but DeRozan is just out of range.

DeRozan just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromKwon.

Sol Kwon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

DeRozan looks to throw the jab but Kwon is out of range.
Kwon blocks a leg kick.
Kwon is looking to counter punch.
Kwon scores with a hook.
DeRozan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
DeRozan needs to keep his hands up - Kwon had a free shot at his head there.
Good standup being displayed there by Kwon as he connects with a hook.
Kwon lands a jab to DeRozan's midsection.
DeRozan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kwon's head backwards.
DeRozan drops his hands momentarily and Kwon takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
DeRozan moves out of range of the strikes.
A nice side step and DeRozan releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Kwon throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
DeRozan lands a leg kick that knocks Kwon off balance momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
DeRozan misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kwon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
DeRozan scores with a jab. Kwon acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kwon has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by DeRozan.
DeRozan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kwon misses the shot to the body.
Kwon misses with a looping left.
A little jabbing left from DeRozan on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kwon throws a leg kick
and DeRozan counters with a nice uppercut.
Kwon misses with a hook.
Kwon misses with a looping left.
DeRozan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kwon appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
DeRozan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
DeRozan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kwon misses with a straight left.
DeRozan blocks a head kick by Kwon.
Kwon takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
DeRozan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kwon moves away.
Sloppy strikes from Kwon. Those never looked like landing.
DeRozan doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
DeRozan thows a leg kick but Kwon checks it
and Kwon counters with a stiff right hand.
Kwon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
DeRozan looks like he wants to counter punch here.
DeRozan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kwon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kwon throws a hook to the side of DeRozan's head but DeRozan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
DeRozan avoids the head kick by Kwon.
Kwon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
DeRozan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kwon has time to react.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
DeRozan connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Kwon! He's out on his feet! DeRozan rushes in and drops Kwon with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
