Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philipp Tyurin (ranked 4488 p4p, 163 weight class) and Sox Bully (ranked 7972 p4p, 215 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philipp Tyurin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sox Bully! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bully drops Tyurin with a beautiful combination! Tyurin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bully is looking for the KO!
It looks like Philipp Tyurin has been cut. Tyurin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tyurin wants to clinch up but Bully keeps it at a distance. Tyurin cracks Bully with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Bully bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Tyurin throws a right and a left that Bully avoids nicely. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tyurin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Bully throws a right and a left that both miss. It looked like Tyurin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Left hook, right uppercut from Tyurin.
It looks like Sox Bully has been cut. Bully lands with a shot to the body. Bully misses with a double jab
and Bully takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bully misses with a double jab
and Tyurin counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyurin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tyurin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bully rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyurin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tyurin is looking to counter the offense by Bully and move into the clinch. Bully slips a jab from Tyurin. Bully ducks under a wild hook from Tyurin. Bully swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Tyurin gets a clinch. Tyurin tries to throw a body punch but Bully avoids it by throwing Tyurin back against the cage. Tyurin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bully blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bully wants to get back to striking at distance but Tyurin won't allow it.
Tyurin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bully's elbow. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tyurin.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyurin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bully just stands there and leans against the cage. Tyurin misses with a punch to the body.
Tyurin is trying to pull guard but Bully has him pressed against the cage. Tyurin lands a shoulder strike. Tyurin tries to pull guard but Bully won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philipp Tyurin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bully wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tyurin throws a punch but it's blocked by Bully. Tyurin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short uppercut from Tyurin. Tyurin pulls Bully into guard.
Tyurin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bully really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyurin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tyurin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bully should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Tyurin has tightened it up now! Bully should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Philipp Tyurin! In his post fight interview, Philipp Tyurin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
