Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timi Boss (ranked 3811 p4p, 120 weight class) and Kris Kristof (ranked 6048 p4p, 146 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timi Boss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kris Kristof!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kristof on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kristof fails with a takedown attempt.
Boss shoots in but Kristof avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kristof circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kristof looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Boss throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kristof's waist but Kristof gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boss off to one side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boss tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kristof defends well and Boss ends up having to push Kristof into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kristof tries to pull guard but Boss holds him up against the cage and eventually Kristof drops back down to his feet.

Kristof looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boss is one step ahead there.
Kristof is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kristof is working for a kimura but Boss is defending it quite comfortably.
Boss is trying to get back to full guard.
Kristof is pressing down on Boss's thigh, looking to free his foot. Boss is holding on for now.
Kristof perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boss tries to get to full guard but Kristof has control of the leg.
Boss could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kristof throwing shots but Boss is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kristof is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boss manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Boss can't keep his opponent in guard - Kristof advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Kristof is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Boss is trying to maintain the position but Kristof is very close to passing his half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Boss looks for the body kick but Kristof saw that one coming.

Kristof rushes Boss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kristof pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kristof has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Boss after a bit of a struggle.
Boss wants to get back to striking at distance but Kristof won't allow it.

Kristof jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boss walks away with a smile on his face. Kristof gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kristof has closed the distance and engaged Boss in a clinch.
Boss is trying to break free.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Kristof has Boss pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Boss manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Boss tries for a takedown but Kristof manages to get underhooks.
Boss is pressed up against the cage. Kristof has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boss down to the mat. Boss avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Boss is trying to push Kristof away but Kristof has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

and Boss counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Kristof escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kristof shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boss as he avoids it easily.
Kristof is breathing heavily.
Kristof has a takedown stuffed.
Kristof shoots in and drives through. Boss sprawls well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boss tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kristof swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boss sets himself, and Kristof steps forward looking for the clinch! Boss avoids it this time.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boss.

Kristof swats away the attempt to clinch by Boss.

Boss gets tackled into the cage by Kristof. Kristof maintains the clinch.

Kristof decides to pull guard.
Boss stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kristof swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boss wants to get up but he can't break Kristof's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Boss drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kristof dives on top into guard.

Kris Kristof showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Kristof circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kristof counters with a three punch combo that has Boss backing up. Boss nods at Kristof to acknowledge the strikes.
Kristof tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kristof somewhat.
No joy there for Kristof, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boss feints a jab promting Kristof to slip. Boss then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kristof slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Boss goes for a double leg but Kristof avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kristof continues to drive forward.

Boss will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Boss throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Kristof leaves Boss with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Boss fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kristof just manages to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kristof looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Boss tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kristof manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Boss shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kristof as he jumps to the side.

Boss's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kristof under the eye.
Kristof keeps the fight on the outside.
Kristof looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Boss or perhaps it was just good defense by Kristof, which made it look bad.
Kristof on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Boss gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kristof to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kristof has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Boss looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kristof passes into side control.
Timi Boss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kris Kristof is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Timi Boss.
I think Kristof has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
