Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Simpson (ranked 4401 p4p, 0 weight class) and Happy Slashensmash (ranked 4657 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Let's hope that Slashensmash has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Simpson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Slashensmash defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Simpson.
Simpson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slashensmash as he avoids it easily.

Simpson wants to hold on but Slashensmash pushes him away.

Slashensmash swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Simpson is now in Slashensmash's guard. A big mistake from Slashensmash there, giving up the dominant position!

Happy Slashensmash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
