Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Dio (ranked 2739 p4p, 300 weight class) and Diyorbek Nurudinov (ranked 4423 p4p, 422 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Dio, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dio shoots in but no luck this time.

Nurudinov tries to keep at a distance but Dio has taken the fight into the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Nurudinov.

Dio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Nurudinov clinches with his opponent.
Nurudinov goes for a takedown attempt but Dio pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dio catches Nurudinov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dio throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nurudinov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dio sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dio seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nurudinov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dio defends it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nurudinov slips a jab and a cross from Dio.

Nurudinov darts in and clinches Dio up against the cage.
Dio misses with a punch on the inside.
Nurudinov wants to take the fight to the mat but Dio manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
John Dio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diyorbek Nurudinov.
Nurudinov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dio prevents it.

Dio's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Nurudinov clinches.
Nurudinov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Dio breaks from the clinch.
Dio throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dio misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dio fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dio throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
John Dio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nurudinov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dio did well to prevent Nurudinov getting side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dio is looking for a sweep. Nurudinov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dio is controlling Nurudinov's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Nurudinov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dio's head.
Nurudinov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Nurudinov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dio doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nurudinov.
Nurudinov is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Dio is hurt! He's hurt bad - Nurudinov fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Dio from any more punishment! Congratulations to Nurudinov! Great finish!
