Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronnie Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darby Kane!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass moves into the clinch successfully.
Kane just leaning against Bass, taking a breather.
Bass breaks the clinch.
Kane ducks under a wild hook from Bass.
Kane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bass as he avoids it easily.
Kane slips a straight right by Bass.
Kane misses the shot to the body.
Bass was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bass showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kane.
It looked like Bass wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bass lands a jab to the head.
Bass slaps away a takedown attempt from Kane, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kane misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bass cracks Kane with an open hand slap.
Kane is rocked!
Bass fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kane looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kane is still on wobbly legs! Can Bass finish him?
Bass definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ronnie Bass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kane looks winded!
Kane walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Bass swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
