and Mendes counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Mendes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Aure is trying to control the position but Mendes postures up.
Aure really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mendes advances position into side control!
Aure knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mendes on the ground.
Aure is trying to control Mendes's posture but Mendes avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mendes is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Aure will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
