Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Bigelow (ranked 7066 p4p, 519 weight class) and Valdis Zatlers (ranked 5432 p4p, 444 weight class). Valdis Zatlers will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zatlers throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bigelow tries to score with a low kick but Zatlers moves his leg out of the way.
And Zatlers tries to counter it with a takedown but Bigelow pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Zatlers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zatlers shoots in looking for a takedown but Bigelow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zatlers's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Zatlers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Zatlers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zatlers takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
