The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been informed that Brooksbank has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Brooksbank lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Brooksbank throws a head kick that Kenway semi-blocks.
Kenway slips a jab and a cross from Brooksbank.
Horrible takedown attempt by Brooksbank or perhaps it was just good defense by Kenway, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brooksbank ducks right into an uppercut from Kenway.

and Kenway counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kenway lands a big head kick that sends Brooksbank to the canvas! Kenway follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
