The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werneck throws a push kick but Evans slaps the foot to one side.
Evans pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Evans fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Evans fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Evans changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Werneck tries to avoid it but Evans manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Werneck to the ground. Werneck escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Evans fails with an attempt to clinch.
Werneck misses with a double jab.
Evans doesn't manage to clinch there - Werneck circles away.
Evans looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Werneck with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Evans walks forward, straight into a front kick from Werneck.
Evans looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Werneck throws a nice looking combination but Evans bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Werneck connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Rashad Evans has been cut.
Evans drops his hands momentarily and Werneck needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Evans just on the top of the head. Evans drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Evans - he's done!
