Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.


It looks like Jimmy Jackson has been cut.
A jab from Jackson finds it's way through Severini's defenses.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A swing and a miss from Jackson.
Jackson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Severini.

Severini lands an overhand right.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Severini sprawls well. Severini wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.
Dom Severini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Jackson.
Jackson throws a hook but Severini avoids it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd cheers as Jackson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Severini doesn't seem phased though.

Jackson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Severini's head backwards.
Severini ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jackson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Severini throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

enabling Severini to counter with a crisp jab.
Jackson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jackson tries to move into range but Severini moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Severini swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Severini throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jackson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Severini defends it well.

Severini drops his shoulder and cracks Jackson with a huge uppercut! Jackson goes down! Can Severini finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Severini controls from within his opponent's guard.
Severini is in close to Jackson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Severini is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Severini gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've been hearing good reports from Severini's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Severini stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jackson controls Severini momentarily but Severini frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Severini accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That has opened up Jimmy Jackson's cut even more.
Severini throws a big elbow that misses.

Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Severini is aware though and is defending well.
Severini is working Jackson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.


The cut above Jimmy Jackson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Severini postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.


Jimmy Jackson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Severini's guard.

Jackson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Severini is controlling Jackson's posture.
Jackson stands and throws Severini's legs to the side, diving into side control.
What's Severini going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Severini is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dom Severini dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jimmy Jackson's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jackson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Severini throws a looping overhand right but Jackson ducks down to avoid it.
Severini lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Severini connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jackson. Jackson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jimmy Jackson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dom Severini!
A very excited looking Dom Severini made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
