The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Gotti.
Gotti closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Gotti misses with a double jab
and Leon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Leon.
Gotti is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Leon dives into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Gotti tries to escape back to his feet but Leon has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Gotti's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Gotti is tapping! Leon saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ace Leon!
