Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Silver Bullion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carol Baskin!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baskin throws a head kick but Bullion moves out of range.
Bullion definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bullion lands with a hook. Baskin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Bullion tests Baskin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Baskin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bullion counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bullion catches Baskin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A left and a right from Bullion both land. Nice combination.
Baskin is rocked!
Silver Bullion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bullion is pawing at Baskin, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Baskin's nose. Baskin is badly hurt! Bullion pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Baskin tries desperately to hold on but Bullion is relentless in his assault! As Baskin receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Bullion away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Silver Bullion!
In his post fight interview, Silver Bullion started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
