Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaija Koo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Mayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koo comes to the cage accompanied by Passion Pit - Sleepyhead. Mayes is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gimme The Loot. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mayes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Koo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mayes is working away from the top position though.
Koo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Koo throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Mayes trying to control the position from guard on top but Koo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mayes drops back looking for a leg! Koo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Koo manages to kick Mayes off! Mayes jumps back into Koo's guard.
Koo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Mayes wants to pass the guard but Koo is keeping the position.

Koo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mayes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Koo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mayes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mayes's back!
