Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean MacCarthy (ranked 6593 p4p, 614 weight class) and Kahdi Mandinos (ranked 7378 p4p, 650 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean MacCarthy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kahdi Mandinos! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Watson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacCarthy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mandinos! MacCarthy working the body and head with strikes. Mandinos takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Mandinos manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Mandinos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Mandinos looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mandinos prevents MacCarthy from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacCarthy wants to get back to his feet.
MacCarthy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Mandinos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mandinos is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. MacCarthy keeping hold of Mandinos's head, controlling as best he can. MacCarthy is not content to let Mandinos control the position. Mandinos seems to be working for a kimura but MacCarthy defends the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. MacCarthy trying to get back to full guard but Mandinos takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! MacCarthy is desperately trying to improve his position but Mandinos has a good base and remains in mount. Mandinos has control of MacCarthy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and MacCarthy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
MacCarthy is looking to improve his position but Mandinos isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mandinos controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacCarthy defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mandinos. MacCarthy tries to lock up and control but Mandinos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Mandinos wants to control the pace but MacCarthy is squirming around nicely. Mandinos is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But MacCarthy has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from MacCarthy! MacCarthy landing some decent shots from guard. Mandinos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from MacCarthy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mandinos preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. MacCarthy distracts Mandinos with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. MacCarthy working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. MacCarthy stopping the sweep attempt from Mandinos. Our spies down at at Tycoon Gym inform us that Mandinos has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? MacCarthy lands a couple of digs. MacCarthy wants to control from the top but Mandinos keeps moving. MacCarthy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. MacCarthy with a nice head shot there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. MacCarthy lands a couple of elbows. MacCarthy cracks Mandinos with a solid left hand. MacCarthy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean MacCarthy dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
MacCarthy closes the distance and clinches. MacCarthy gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Mandinos looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
MacCarthy working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. MacCarthy throws a big right hand that misses. MacCarthy wants to control from the top but Mandinos keeps moving. MacCarthy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mandinos can do to turn this around? MacCarthy throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mandinos keeping full guard, as MacCarthy tries to pass. MacCarthy with a flurry of punches that miss. MacCarthy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mandinos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacCarthy passes easily into side control. Nice work. MacCarthy scoring with punches from side control. Mandinos wants to control but MacCarthy postures up. Sean MacCarthy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. MacCarthy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mandinos is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
MacCarthy working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Mandinos can't do much from the bottom here. MacCarthy lands some shots froms side control. MacCarthy scoring with punches and elbows. MacCarthy with the ground and pound but Mandinos regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. MacCarthy lands a nice short elbow. MacCarthy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mandinos avoiding damage under a succession of punches from MacCarthy. MacCarthy scores with a couple of good hammerfists. MacCarthy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. MacCarthy working Mandinos over with strikes.
Mandinos is rocked! MacCarthy lands strikes from half guard. Mandinos is still in real trouble! Can MacCarthy finish him? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mandinos is trying to defend against the ground and pound but MacCarthy scores with a couple of nice shots. Mandinos is breathing heavily. MacCarthy lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Mandinos! More strikes land and this one is all over! MacCarthy jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean MacCarthy! Sean MacCarthy was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
