Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Sinatra (ranked 4940 p4p, 487 weight class) and Conor Mcgered (ranked 4833 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sammy Sinatra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Conor Mcgered! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sinatra shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcgered napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sinatra goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mcgered rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sinatra's guard! Nice work there by Mcgered! Sinatra managing to control the position. Mcgered is pushing down on Sinatra's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sinatra is fighting to maintain full guard but Mcgered has managed to sneak the leg through. Mcgered throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sinatra wants to get back to full guard. Mcgered wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sinatra keeps working. Mcgered thows a huge punch but Sinatra dodges it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sinatra is looking for a sweep. Mcgered is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sinatra really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sinatra trying to hold on to Mcgered's head to control him but Mcgered postures up.
Sinatra keeping hold of Mcgered's head, controlling as best he can. Sinatra is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mcgered is trying to control. Sinatra wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mcgered wants to stand but Sinatra has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Mcgered trying to control from half guard but Sinatra is working away.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sinatra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mcgered looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mcgered sneaks out the side door and pushes Sinatra away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Sinatra moves out of range as Mcgered throws a body kick.
Mcgered tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sinatra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcgered somewhat. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mcgered.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mcgered. Sammy Sinatra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conor Mcgered. Mcgered fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sinatra half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Sinatra shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcgered's guard. Mcgered is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sinatra is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Mcgered jumps into side control! Sinatra is breathing heavily. Sinatra wants to control but Mcgered postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sinatra tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sinatra on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sinatra tries to get out of the position. Mcgered misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Mcgered trying to control the position but Sinatra is working away. Mcgered decides to take the fight back to the feet. Mcgered fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Conor Mcgered seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcgered closes the distance and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Conor Mcgered dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Mcgered shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sinatra as he avoids it easily. Sinatra shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mcgered but Mcgered pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sinatra shoots in for a double leg but Mcgered sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mcgered shoots in and drives through. Sinatra sprawls well. Mcgered throws a combination that misses so Sinatra counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Mcgered working a defensive guard here.
Sinatra knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mcgered on the ground. Sinatra's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcgered looking for a sweep. Not yet Mcgered, not yet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sinatra looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgered looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sinatra is one step ahead there. Sinatra loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Sinatra is looking to advance position but Mcgered has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Mcgered takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sinatra holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mcgered tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mcgered looking to control but Sinatra is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sinatra is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sinatra is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Mcgered takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sinatra tries to improve his position but instead Mcgered has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here.
Mcgered is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Sinatra defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Sinatra tries to escape the position.
Mcgered controlling the position well here. Sinatra rolled but Mcgered kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sinatra is in bad spot here.
Mcgered looking for the RNC. Mcgered tries to keep control of the position but Sinatra is staying busy. Sinatra preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Mcgered. Mcgered somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sinatra is keeping busy.
Mcgered is riding his opponent, not letting Sinatra buck him off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Conor Mcgered showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Mcgered fails to land the takedown. Mcgered tries to clinch up but Sinatra circles away and keeps his distance. Sinatra wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Mcgered tries to clinch but Sinatra is having none of it. Mcgered throws a nice looking combination but Sinatra bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. As Mcgered tries to get set, Sinatra tries to push him back and clinch up but Mcgered manages to avoid the attempt. Sinatra tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mcgered manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Mcgered looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcgered lands a jab-cross combination. Mcgered avoids the head kick by Sinatra.
Mcgered stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mcgered wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgered tries to clinch up and Sinatra decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mcgered's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mcgered tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mcgered working a defensive guard here.
Sinatra drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mcgered dives on top into guard. Sinatra looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mcgered puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Mcgered stands up out of the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sinatra throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Mcgered shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sinatra as he avoids it easily. Sinatra circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mcgered shoots in but Sinatra avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sammy Sinatra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conor Mcgered. Mcgered scores to the head and body with a nice combination! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Horrible takedown attempt by Sinatra or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcgered, which made it look bad. Mcgered darts in and clinches Sinatra up against the cage. Mcgered has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgered jumps guard.
Mcgered lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcgered trying to control but Sinatra is working from the bottom. Mcgered throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sinatra works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mcgered controlling from the top position. Mcgered trying to control the position from guard on top but Sinatra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcgered stands and steps away. Sinatra gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mcgered. Mcgered rushes Sinatra and presses him up against the cage. Mcgered throws a knee to the head but misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sinatra on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Sammy Sinatra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Conor Mcgered is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sinatra misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mcgered.
And that's the end of the fight! Conor Mcgered comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mcgered has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
