Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brett Hart has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Benjamin Smith!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hart.
Hart goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Hart tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Hart tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hart tries to clinch but Smith moves out of range.
Hart fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith cracks Hart with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hart digs a good body shot into Smith's ribs.
Smith pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
Hart rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hart slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Smith is looking to clinch.
Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Hart is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Smith stops Hart from standing up.
Smith wants to control from the top but Hart keeps moving.
Hart is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea.
Hart is breathing heavily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hart throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters with a nice body kick.
Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Smith throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hart fails to land with a series of punches.

Smith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hart keeps working.
Smith throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hart tries to kick Smith off in order to stand up. Smith Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Hart tries to escape but Smith is in control.
Smith trying to control the action but Hart is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Smith throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Hart is pushing Smith's head away, looking to escape. Smith manages to hold on to the position though.
Hart knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground.

Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hart keeps working.
Smith throws a strike aimed at the side of Hart's head but Hart avoids it well.
Smith tries to advance to mount but can't.
Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hart tries to escape but Smith is in control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hart misses with a double jab
and Smith counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smith.
Hart fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hart wants to break free but Smith has control.
Smith blocks an uppercut.
Come on Smith - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hart fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Hart swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nice body punch from Smith.
Smith is trying to maintain a safe position but Hart gets an underhook and turns Smith into the cage.
Smith gets control of Hart's arms and successfully pulls guard. Smith will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hart would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hart can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet.
Hart wants to get up but he can't break Smith's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benjamin Smith dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hart is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Hart circles away and we're back to standing.
Hart misses with a few strikes there.
Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Smith slips a jab and a cross from Hart.

Brett Hart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benjamin Smith.
Smith takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hart throws a low kick but Smith avoids it.
Smith closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hart to the mat! Hart manages to get full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hart is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea.
Smith passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Smith misses with the ground and pound.
Hart is pushing Smith's head away, looking to escape. Smith manages to hold on to the position though.
Smith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hart looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hart is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smith lets go of the hold and Hart can pop his arm back in it's socket.
