Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but De Vries paws at him with a jab and circles away.
De Vries jabs Mac to the body, keeping him at a distance.
De Vries keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mac with a lazy takedown attempt
and De Vries connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mac shoots and misses

De Vries thuds his right hand into Mac 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

De Vries fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mac on the side of the head.
Mac is rocked!
De Vries cracks Mac with a left hook right on the temple and Mac goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! De Vries lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Mac is OK!
