Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genji Kamogawa (ranked 2988 p4p, 6009 weight class) and Jay Leno (ranked 368 p4p, 584 weight class). Kamogawa comes to the cage accompanied by Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard - Hungry. Jay Leno told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Genji Kamogawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Leno! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.

Leno wants the takedown. Kamogawa is fighting it off but Leno persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kamogawa's guard against the cage. Leno is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kamogawa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kamogawa has escaped and now he's on top! Kamogawa wanted to stand there but Leno had control of the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kamogawa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kamogawa stays in close to Leno's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leno is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kamogawa defends well. Leno looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kamogawa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kamogawa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Leno is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Leno had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kamogawa defends it easily. Leno is looking for a triangle here but Kamogawa uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Kamogawa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Leno's elbow. Leno has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kamogawa seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Leno can turn it around. A head punch on the inside from Kamogawa fails to land. Leno gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jay Leno has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kamogawa blocking the ground and pound attempt from Leno. Leno is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kamogawa has managed to free his arm - good work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Leno is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kamogawa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Leno. Genji Kamogawa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Leno stops Kamogawa from getting back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Genji Kamogawa showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kamogawa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
