Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Day (ranked 1049 p4p, 126 weight class) and David Yung (ranked 871 p4p, 109 weight class). Yung has chosen 陳小春 - 亂世巨星 as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Yung!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yung throws an overhand right that lands on Day's shoulder, as Day tries to avoid the shot.

Day has managed to clinch.
Yung misses with a body punch.
Yung tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Day's elbow.
Day is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Yung breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yung pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Day wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crunch! Day slams his shin into Yung's torso.
Mikey Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yung stands up over Day, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

You can see the frustration on Yung's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Yung seems a little lost for a moment, as Day dominates the positioning.

That was a close round but I would say that Mikey Day will probably get the nod.

Yung moves forwards but Day connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Day half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Yung takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Day looks to land a combination. Yung sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Yung lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Day has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Day and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Day throws the left hand but Yung avoids the punch easily.
Yung misses with a low kick.
Day tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yung swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Yung is pressed up against the cage. Day has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Yung down to the mat. Yung avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Yung takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Day pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Day is looking to clinch.
Day checks a leg kick.
Day wants to clinch up but Yung keeps it at a distance.
A countering left hand to the body from Yung misses.
Day looks to clinch
and Yung counters with a left to the body.
Day throws a chopping leg kick but Yung manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Day fails with an attempt to clinch.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Day.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Day blocks a jab.
Yung is looking to clinch but Day is avoiding it.
Day is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Yung.
Day moves out of range of the leg kick from Yung.
Day chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yung can pounce on him.
A looping hook to the body misses from Day. Yung does a little dance to reset his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mikey Day showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Day has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
