Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eliz Gracie (ranked 4440 p4p, 480 weight class) and Iivari Alamaa (ranked 3036 p4p, 357 weight class). Alamaa has chosen Sääntö - Paska valtio as his entrance music. Iivari Alamaa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eliz Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Iivari Alamaa! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie avoids the head kick by Alamaa.
Alamaa stuffs the takedown. Gracie darts in looking for a takedown but Alamaa gets double underhooks and turns Gracie into the cage. Gracie backing away here, and Alamaa unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alamaa's guard. Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alamaa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Alamaa in his guard.
Alamaa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Alamaa is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alamaa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gracie throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Alamaa escapes and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control! Alamaa trying to control the position but Gracie is working away. Gracie is looking to reverse the position. Alamaa decides to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eliz Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie shoots in but no luck this time. Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Alamaa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alamaa looking for submissions off his back. Alamaa is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Alamaa is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alamaa sees it coming and defends easily. Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Alamaa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Alamaa is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Eliz Gracie! A very excited looking Eliz Gracie rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
