PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fu Gazi (ranked 4644 p4p, 7033 weight class) and Tim Bieke (ranked 453 p4p, 568 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Gazi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Bieke throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gazi sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Gazi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bieke manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Gazi postures up in Bieke's guard and throws a big left but Bieke blocks it.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Gazi here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Gazi shoots in looking for a takedown. Bieke tries to sprawl out of it but Gazi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bieke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gazi is defended easily by Bieke.
Bieke uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gazi has time to react.

Fu Gazi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gazi looks to land a combination but Bieke avoids it well.
Bieke throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gazi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bieke feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gazi sprawling to the canvas! Gazi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bieke finish him?!

Gazi is rocked!

Fu Gazi's cut is getting worse.
Bieke flashes Gazi a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Gazi's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Gazi crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Bieke punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
