Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Skop Doner (ranked 7621 p4p, 6460 weight class) and Homero Empive (ranked 638 p4p, 590 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Doner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Doner throws a strike aimed at the side of Empive's head but Empive avoids it well.
Empive really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Doner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Empive, who protects the arm well.
Empive gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Doner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Empive's waist but Empive gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doner off to one side.

We've been hearing good reports from Doner's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
