Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Graves (ranked 4 p4p, 48 weight class) and Mick Murphy (ranked 1 p4p, 6 weight class). Graves kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rage Against the Machine - Bulls on Parade. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 34 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Graves! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 33 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mick Murphy! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

Murphy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Murphy with a nice calf kick. Murphy misses with a wild body shot. Graves throws an off balance right hand
and Murphy finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Murphy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Graves throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Murphy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Graves. Graves looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murphy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Graves waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Murphy. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Murphy! But no joy. Graves misses with a right hand and Murphy counters with a left to the body. Murphy throws a jab when Graves was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Murphy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Graves scores with a shot to the body.
Murphy throws a leg kick but Graves moved away. A counter left hand to the body from Graves misses its target. Murphy moves forwards but Graves connects with a nice, crisp jab. Graves clinches. Murphy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Graves throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Graves scores with a sloppy right hand. Murphy should have avoided that one. Murphy wants to slow Graves down by chopping away at his legs. Murphy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A big left from Murphy misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Graves loads up on a big right hand but Murphy slips the punch. Graves tries to clinch but Murphy is having none of it. A decent looking cross lands there for Graves. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Graves ducks under a wild hook from Murphy. Murphy misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Graves counters with a lovely straight right hand! Murphy fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Murphy throws a big shot that misses. Graves is looking to counter punch. Graves misses with a looping left. Graves takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Graves throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Murphy throws out a loose jab but Graves uses good head movement to avoid it. Graves throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

A close round but Mick Murphy will probably get the nod. That's time! Graves's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Murphy throws a body punch but Graves moves out of range. Graves closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Murphy swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Graves's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A shot to the liver by Murphy. Beautiful body shot. A big left from Graves misses. Graves on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Graves throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Murphy sees it coming and avoids it easily. Graves uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Murphy has time to react. Murphy is still on wobbly legs! Can Graves finish him? Murphy throws a hook but Graves avoids it easily. Murphy seems to have recovered his senses. Graves throws a hook to the side of Murphy's head but Murphy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Murphy slips a straight right by Graves. Graves misses with a hook

Murphy lands a nice hook to Graves's body. Graves takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Murphy tests Graves's chin there with a solid looking shot. A lazy left from Murphy finds it's target. Graves defending well as Murphy loads up on a big left hand.

Graves is rocked! Graves closes the distance looking to clinch and Murphy counters with a straight right hand. Oh Graves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Murphy flashes Graves a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Graves's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Graves crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Murphy punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
