Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Lobman (ranked 6512 p4p, 4771 weight class) and Dominic Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Lobman had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Lobman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dominic Powell! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Powell forces Lobman back against the cage and clinches. Lobman is trying to break free. Powell slowing the pace effectively. Powell wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Powell jumps guard but Lobman turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Powell gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Lobman regains guard.
Lobman wants to stand and escape but Powell is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powell pushing down on Lobman's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Lobman is trying to stand back up but Powell is controlling him
Powell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lobman is just riding it out for now. Powell eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lobman wants to get back to his feet. Lobman trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Lobman taking some punishment here, with Powell in his half guard. Lobman blocking the ground and pound attempt from Powell. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Powell is taking a breather. Lobman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Powell stops Lobman from getting back to his feet.
Lobman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Powell on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Powell keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Powell stops Lobman from getting back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Powell misses with a takedown attempt and Lobman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lobman rushes Powell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lobman dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Powell tightens his grip and picks Lobman up, before dumping him to the ground. Lobman manages to land in guard. Powell looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Powell won't allow Lobman to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lobman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Powell controls the pace. Lobman is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Powell presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Powell tries to pull guard but Lobman holds him up against the cage and eventually Powell drops back down to his feet.
Frank Lobman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominic Powell.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Powell jumps guard but Lobman stands there with Powell around his waist. Powell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Powell misses with a knee strike.
Powell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lobman avoids it. Powell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Powell. Powell looks winded! Lobman feints and as Powell raises his hands in defense, Lobman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Powell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lobman is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Our sources have told us that Lobman has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Powell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dominic Powell dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Lobman has a takedown stuffed. Powell fails in his attempt to clinch. Lobman shoots and misses and Powell moves into the clinch. Powell is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lobman to keep the fight standing. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lobman takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Lobman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Powell pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Lobman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lobman has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Powell after a bit of a struggle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Powell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lobman, who protects the arm well. Powell trying to control the action but Lobman is working from the bottom. Powell tries to advance to mount but Lobman denies him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Powell stands up and we're back to a striking position. Powell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lobman is trying to defend but Powell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Powell is breathing heavily. Lobman is trying to stand.
Powell moves nicely into side control. Lobman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Powell asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lobman explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Powell throws a body punch but Lobman moves out of range. Powell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lobman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lobman appears to be looking for a big counter. Lobman gets a clinch. Lobman with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Powell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lobman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lobman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Powell slaps away a takedown attempt from Lobman, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lobman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Powell. Powell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lobman lands a nice leg kick that just misses Powell's sensitive parts. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Powell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lobman as he jumps to the side. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Powell is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Frank Lobman will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Powell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lobman avoids it really well and circles away. Lobman darts in and clinches Powell up against the cage. Lobman pulls guard effortlessly. Lobman keeping full guard, as Powell tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lobman wants to get back to his feet but Powell is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Powell is standing up over Lobman. Lobman looks to escape but Powell dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell prevents Lobman from escaping the position. Powell in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Lobman is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Powell is controlling him well.

Powell keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lobman's efforts to push away. Lobman manages to pull guard.
Powell working some strikes from top position. Powell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Powell scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Powell wants to control from the top but Lobman keeps moving. Powell stops Lobman from standing up. Lobman wriggles free and stands up. Powell looks for a takedown but Lobman sprawls well. Lobman tries to counter by clinching up but Powell breaks away and moves out of range. Frank Lobman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominic Powell. Powell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lobman.
