Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Kong (ranked 1608 p4p, 1825 weight class) and Aaron Stone (ranked 78 p4p, 31 weight class). Aaron Stone will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Kong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Stone! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kong closes the distance and clinches up with Stone, looking for a takedown. Kong pushes Stone against the cage but Stone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kong shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Stone kicks off Kong and gets to his feet. Kong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kong shoots for a takedown but Stone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cole Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stone was covering up waiting for the punch and Kong finishes the takedown easily into guard. Stone kicks Kong off and gets to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stone throws a series of punches but Kong moves out of range. Stone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stone wants it to stay on the feet. Kong with a lazy takedown attempt and Stone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kong fails with the takedown and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone misses with an uppercut. Kong saw that one coming. Kong feinted with a counter takedown. Stone scores with a nice right hand.
Kong has a takedown stuffed. Stone gets in close and instigates a clinch. Stone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stone gets caught flat footed, as Kong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Stone looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kong throwing strikes but missing. Our spies down at at Desert Fitness & Training -13 Elites/1 Exceptional inform us that Stone has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Kong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kong connects with a couple of short punches. Kong trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kong throws a big right hand that misses. Kong passes easily into side control. Nice work. Stone manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Stone trying to hold on to Kong's head to control him but Kong postures up.

It looks like Aaron Stone has been cut. Kong has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kong scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That has opened up Aaron Stone's cut even more. Kong not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Stone wants to improve his position but Kong is controlling well.
Kong stalling. Kong working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The cut above Aaron Stone's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kong slips a nice elbow through Stone's hands, connecting with Stone's forehead. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kong wants to take a breather but Stone is having none of it. Stone taking some punishment here, with Kong in his half guard.
Aaron Stone's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Aaron Stone's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Cole Kong! Cole Kong decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
