Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Telegin!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Telegin.
Babinski pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Telegin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Babinski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Telegin throws out the jab.

It looks like Sergey Telegin has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Telegin shoots in and gets a takedown into Babinski's guard.

Telegin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Babinski dives on top into guard.

Telegin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Telegin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Telegin working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Babinski has passed into half guard!
Telegin won't allow Babinski to pass to mount.
Telegin is looking for a sweep. Babinski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Babinski wants to stand but Telegin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Telegin regains full guard. Nicely done.
Babinski wants to get up but he can't break Telegin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Telegin working for a triangle but Babinski defends it easily.

Telegin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Babinski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Babinski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Telegin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Babinski has managed to get both his arms back between Telegin's legs - danger averted.

Telegin throws a looping overhand right but Babinski ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Babinski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sergey Telegin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Babinski throws a right hand that misses
and Telegin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sergey Telegin will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Babinski cracks Telegin with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Telegin looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Babinski finish him?

Telegin is rocked!
Babinski lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Telegin up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Babinski from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Telegin's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Viktor Babinski!
During a confident post fight interview, Viktor Babinski thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
