Alcala connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Yew's hands.
It looks like Yef Yew has been cut.

Yew throws out a loose jab but Alcala uses good head movement to avoid it.
As Yew looks to move away, Alcala throws a big counter combo but Yew just gets out of the way.

Alcala has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Yew wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Alcala's closed guard. He's half up but Alcala has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Alcala pivots and extends the arm, Yew falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Alcala! Well done that man!

A less than humble Rodney Alcala misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
