Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Ristinen (ranked 1269 p4p, 1639 weight class) and Bald Martin (ranked 190 p4p, 237 weight class). Martin has chosen I’m Bald And I Know It as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesse Ristinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bald Martin! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ristinen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Martin moves away. A lazy left from Martin finds it's target. Ristinen swings for the body but Martin moves out of range.

Martin with a hook. We've been informed that Martin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Martin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ristinen was well out of range. Poor timing from Martin. Ristinen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Martin circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ristinen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Martin. Ristinen appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Martin slips under a jab. Martin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ristinen goes for a double leg but Martin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Martin continues to drive forward. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ristinen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Martin looks like he wants to counter punch here. Jesse Ristinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ristinen looks to score with a jab to the body but Martin is just out of range. Ristinen fails with the takedown and Martin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ristinen throws a jab when Martin was well out of range. Ristinen takes a shot right to the bread basket. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ristinen throws a body shot but no joy. Martin throws a lazy right hand but Ristinen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Martin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ristinen is really struggling to control Martin but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Martin thuds a left hand into Ristinen's body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bald Martin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Ristinen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Martin lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
