And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Train misses.
Train throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Train swinging wilding here.
Rua slips a jab from Train.
Rua throws a sloppy head kick and Train moves out of range easily.
Train will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Train throws a right and a left that Rua avoids nicely.
A head kick misses from Rua.
Train thows a body shot but no joy.
Train blocks a head kick by Rua.
Conastogga Train seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rua takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rua tries to clinch there but Train circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rua bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Train misses with a kick to the body
and Rua counters with a head kick.
Train is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Rua counters with a big uppercut that knocks Train off his feet! Rua dives into side control looking to finish!

Rua decides to stand up, so the ref orders Train to his feet.
Train seems to have got his legs back now.
Rua moves in looking to clinch but Train pushes him off.
Train swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rua counters with a nice uppercut.
Train misses with a double jab

and Rua counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Rua looking to finish!


Train is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rua decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Oh Train is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oh, that's a big right hand from Rua and Train goes tumbling to the canvas! Rua follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Train seems to have got his legs back now.

Rua has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Train defend it? Rua steps over the head and cranks it - Train is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Rua!
