Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.

Gayle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jakobe sprawls well initially but Gayle persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jakobe looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Jakobe is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gayle scores with a couple of nice shots.
Gayle prevents Jakobe from standing back up.
Gayle content to control rather than advance.
Jakobe is looking to get back to full guard here but Gayle has managed to pass to side control instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gayle decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Larry Gayle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gayle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gayle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

It looks like Larry Gayle has been cut.
Jakobe lands a big uppercut and Gayle crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gayle looks OK. Jakobe waves Gayle back to his feet!

A relieved looking John Jakobe thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
