Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zach Collins (ranked 1690 p4p, 1955 weight class) and Adam Johnson (ranked 191 p4p, 219 weight class). Adam Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zach Collins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Johnson! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch. Collins has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Johnson is trying to keep an underhook but Collins manages to get the takedown into half guard. Johnson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've been hearing that Collins has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Collins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Collins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Johnson looking for subs off his back but Collins has passed one foot through into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Collins working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Collins is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ground and pound from Collins. Collins passes to side control. Collins trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom. Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Collins's best efforts. Johnson is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Collins is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Nice strikes from Collins there. Collins drops an elbow to the side of Johnson's head. Johnson is in trouble now - Collins has advanced to mount! Johnson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Collins with good strikes from the mount here! Johnson is in a horrible position here. Collins smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Johnson is rocked! Collins is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Johnson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Johnson is still in real trouble! Can Collins finish him? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Collins lands a big shot to the head and Johnson winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Zach Collins! Zach Collins spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
