The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duthie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Duthie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Duthie lands in his opponent's guard.
homayed utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
homayed doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Duthie got a little sloppy there for a moment and homayed has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Duthie has managed to get both his arms back between homayed's legs - danger averted.
Duthie wants to get up but he can't break homayed's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
