Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Florian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar's entrance music is Warning by The Notrious BIG. A fine choice. Florian is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dean Martin - Ain´t that a kick in the head. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Good leg kick by Florian there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Escobar stuns Florian with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Escobar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Florian's guard.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Escobar crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Florian - the referee stops the clock and Escobar gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Florian. Escobar manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Horrible takedown by Escobar or perhaps it was just good defense by Florian which made him look bad.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Escobar has gone for a leg lock! Florian slips out almost immediately though and dives into Escobar's guard.
Escobar has his foot on Florian's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Florian works his way back into a safe position though.

Florian wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Escobar's hips, looking to push off. But Escobar grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Florian screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
