Edwards comes into the arena with Damian Marley - Road to Zion blaring out of the sound system. Ife Edwards has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Silva lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Manuel Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva throws a lazy uppercut
and Edwards counters with a two punch combo.
Edwards throws a leg kick but Silva sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Edwards is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Edwards circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva is looking to clinch but Edwards is avoiding it.
As Silva backs away, Edwards returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Silva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Edwards is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Edwards circles away and we're back to standing.
Edwards was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Edwards connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Silva's hands.
Silva throws a nice inside leg kick.
Edwards on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Edwards slips a jab from Silva.
Edwards throws a counter high kick but Silva was just alert enough to avoid it.
Silva misses with a hook.
Edwards thinks about countering with a head kick.
Edwards avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Edwards sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Edwards has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Silva is on him like a limpet, forcing Edwards back against the cage.

Edwards lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

and Edwards counters with a low kick, right behind Silva 's knee.
Silva pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Edwards keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Manuel Silva has been cut.
Edwards defending well as Silva loads up on a big left hand.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Edwards is just out of range.
Edwards cracks Silva with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Silva falls to his knees and Edwards doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
