Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcos De Souza (ranked 169 p4p, 858 weight class) and Warrant Officer (ranked 26 p4p, 115 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marcos De Souza! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Warrant Officer! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by De Souza or perhaps it was just good defense by Officer, which made it look bad. De Souza dives in for a single leg takedown but Officer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Nice takedown defense from Officer. No joy for De Souza on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcos De Souza. That's going to take a lot out of him. De Souza shoots in and drives through. Officer sprawls well. De Souza darts in looking for a takedown but Officer gets double underhooks and turns De Souza into the cage. Officer has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as De Souza is landing a low percentage of strikes. Officer lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Marcos De Souza has been cut. De Souza tries to clinch but Officer is having none of it. De Souza has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from De Souza there as he acknowledges the shot. Officer leaves De Souza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Officer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. De Souza closes the distance and clinches up with Officer, looking for a takedown. De Souza pushes Officer against the cage but Officer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. De Souza drives through and clinches with Officer against the cage.
Officer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Officer works the jab nicely. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Officer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends De Souza sprawling to the canvas! De Souza rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Officer finish him?!
De Souza is rocked! De Souza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Oh De Souza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! De Souza shoots in looking for a takedown but Officer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing De Souza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. De Souza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Officer pinned against the cage. Officer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. De Souza is breathing heavily. Officer cracks De Souza with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! De Souza looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Officer finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. De Souza leaves his chin hanging out and Officer seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! De Souza crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Warrant Officer! Warrant Officer is the new middleweight champion! An out of breath Warrant Officer thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
