Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cthulhu Mythos (ranked 6882 p4p, 24935 weight class) and Toe Foot (ranked 591 p4p, 636 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cthulhu Mythos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Toe Foot! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.

Foot lands a takedown into guard.
Foot trying to control the position from guard on top but Mythos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mythos wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Mythos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Foot is one step ahead there. Mythos has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Foot is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mythos. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Foot stands up and beckons Mythos to his feet. Foot drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foot looking to sit in guard and control but Mythos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've been hearing that Mythos has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Mythos with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Mythos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Foot wants to stand up but Mythos is controlling him. Mythos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Foot can do anything to dispel that myth. Mythos wants to control from the top but Foot keeps moving. Mythos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mythos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mythos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mythos trying to control but Foot is working from the bottom. Mythos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Foot looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Foot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mythos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mythos has gone for a leg lock! Foot slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mythos's guard. Foot trying to control but Mythos is working from the bottom.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Foot works his way back into a safe position though. Foot wants to control from the top but Mythos keeps moving. Foot preventing the sweep. Foot trying to control but Mythos is working from the bottom. Mythos looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Foot not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mythos could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mythos pushes a forearm under Foot's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Foot is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
