Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Chong Tay (ranked 6194 p4p, 18598 weight class) and Steel Penn Jr (ranked 606 p4p, 684 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chong Tay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steel Penn Jr! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

and Penn Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Penn Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tay looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chong Tay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tay throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Penn Jr. Penn Jr swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Tay has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Tay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tay with a nice cross. Penn Jr connects with a nice looking jab.
Penn Jr lands with a kick to the temple. Tay shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Tay throws a sloppy head kick and Penn Jr counters with a nice uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Penn Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tay walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Penn Jr rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Tay has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Tay is rocked! Penn Jr thows a body kick. Tay tries to catch it but that hurt him. Tay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Penn Jr lands a nice looking body shot.
Penn Jr scores with a spinning back kick! Tay tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A little jabbing left from Penn Jr on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Tay misses with a double jab
and Penn Jr counters with a perfectly timed counter left hook that drops Tay to the mat, face first! Penn Jr goes to the neutral corner and waits for the referee to start the count. Tay is back to hise feet already though and looking to continue the bout! Exciting stuff! Oh Tay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Chong Tay has been cut. Tay is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn Jr connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Tay onto his butt! Tay bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action. Tay seems to have got his legs back now. Penn Jr throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Penn Jr engages and cracks Tay with a massive lead left hook - Tay tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Penn Jr is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steel Penn Jr! Steel Penn Jr tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
