McSweeny throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McSweeny tries to move into range but Whittaker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. McSweeny looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. McSweeny throws an off balance right hand
and McSweeny takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McSweeny throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Whittaker keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McSweeny . Nice body punch from Whittaker . We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Whittaker scores with a decent looking hook. Whittaker 's corner calls for a 1-2. Whittaker obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. McSweeny avoids a punch combination nicely.
McSweeny is looking to counter with head kicks. McSweeny throws a head kick that misses. Whittaker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's one minute gone in the round. McSweeny tries to clinch but Whittaker is having none of it. Whittaker has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Whittaker cracks McSweeny with a good jab. Whittaker misses with a few strikes there.
McSweeny throws a head kick but Whittaker moves out of range.
McSweeny instigates a clinch. Whittaker struggles to land a body shot inside as McSweeny controls his hands.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McSweeny using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Whittaker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

McSweeny is breathing heavily. Still in the clinch, Whittaker scores with a nice short uppercut. Whittaker cracks McSweeny with a nice body shot. McSweeny on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Whittaker pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes. Nice body punch from Whittaker - that landed with a thud.
Whittaker scores with a nice hook to the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Whittaker . Whittaker lands a body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Whittaker dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Whittaker fails to land with a series of punches.
Whittaker lunges at McSweeny with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McSweeny 's hand.
McSweeny is rocked! McSweeny wants to clinch but Whittaker slips to the side and Whittaker counters with a straight right hand that connects right on the button, dropping McSweeny face first to the canvas! He's out! He's out cold! No need for a count here - this fight is over!
