Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Artturi Reinikainen (ranked 688 p4p, 1384 weight class) and Esa Kettu (ranked 85 p4p, 181 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artturi Reinikainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Esa Kettu! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

Kettu gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kettu lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Reinikainen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Reinikainen throws a lazy right hand but Kettu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kettu dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Reinikainen checks a low kick from Kettu. Reinikainen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kettu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kettu tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kettu is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Reinikainen wants to control but Kettu is keeping him busy. Kettu looks to move to half guard but instead Reinikainen has passed into mount! Damn! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reinikainen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kettu is on top in guard.

Reinikainen has his foot on Kettu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kettu works his way back into a safe position though.

A close round but Esa Kettu will probably get the nod. That's time! Reinikainen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Kettu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kettu fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Reinikainen connects with a solid leg kick. We've been informed that Kettu has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Reinikainen drives through with a takedown into guard. Kettu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kettu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Reinikainen postures up in Kettu's guard and throws a big left but Kettu blocks it. Reinikainen is refusing to be controlled, as Kettu sits in half guard. Reinikainen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kettu is stalling here. Reinikainen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kettu seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Reinikainen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kettu avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Reinikainen. Reinikainen works to advance to full mount. Kettu defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

A lazy left from Kettu finds it's target. Reinikainen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Reinikainen shoots for a takedown but Kettu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kettu scores with a hook. A big left from Kettu misses. Reinikainen checks the leg kick. Reinikainen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kettu to the ground. Reinikainen is now in Kettu's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kettu wants to sweep here but Reinikainen controlling him for the moment. Kettu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kettu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reinikainen keeps working. Kettu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. It looks like Kettu is going to stand back up.

Esa Kettu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Kettu staying out of range there. Good shot there by Kettu. Kettu lands a slapping body shot.
Reinikainen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kettu. An inside leg kick from Kettu misses. The fighters circling - Kettu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kettu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reinikainen has time to react. Reinikainen gets a takedown into half guard. Kettu has his hands clasped together around Reinikainen's back. He's all about the action. Reinikainen prevents Kettu from improving his position.

Kettu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Reinikainen. Reinikainen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kettu moves out of range as Reinikainen strikes. Kettu throws out a counter right but Reinikainen avoids it with no problem. Esa Kettu seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kettu on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Kettu looks to throw the jab but Reinikainen is out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kettu scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Reinikainen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kettu! Kettu tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Reinikainen presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Esa Kettu is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kettu really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Artturi Reinikainen. I think Kettu has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
