Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kira Yoshikage (ranked 3486 p4p, 3773 weight class) and Walter Sobchak (ranked 405 p4p, 428 weight class). Sobchak has chosen Everybody Hates Me - Tom Mcdonald as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kira Yoshikage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Walter Sobchak!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.

Yoshikage keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Yoshikage attempts a counter takedown but Sobchak avoids it well and moves away.

and Yoshikage decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sobchak's guard.
Yoshikage wants to control from the top but Sobchak keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sobchak wants to get back to his feet but Yoshikage is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

We've been hearing that Yoshikage has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yoshikage advances to mount.
Sobchak's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Yoshikage wants to control the pace but Sobchak is squirming around nicely.

Yoshikage looking to control but Sobchak is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Sobchak is desperately trying to improve his position but Yoshikage has a good base and remains in mount.
Yoshikage lands a heavy elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Yoshikage lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sobchak keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Yoshikage tries to keep at a distance but Sobchak has taken the fight into the clinch.
A short left from Sobchak.
Sobchak is trying to break the clinch but Yoshikage is controlling him.
Sobchak digs a right hand underneath Yoshikage's ribcage. Yoshikage let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Sobchak misses with a hook to the ribs.
Yoshikage is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sobchak can do to turn this around?

Yoshikage looking for a guillotine here but Sobchak defends easily.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Yoshikage holds on and takes a little breather.
Yoshikage has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sobchak wants to stand but Yoshikage is controlling his posture from full guard.

Sobchak is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Yoshikage has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sobchak is looking to defend but Yoshikage has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sobchak! Yoshikage pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sobchak taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kira Yoshikage!
