Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

Gold slips a jab and a cross from Red Eagle.
Red Eagle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gold counters with a nice body shot.

Red Eagle just misses with a punch to the body.
Red Eagle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Red Eagle missing with a left hand there. Gold was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gold shoots in but no luck this time.
Gold avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gold is looking to counter punch.
Gold fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Red Eagle avoids it really well and circles away.

Red Eagle closes the distance and pushes Gold back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Red Eagle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chief Red Eagle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Red Eagle stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthaus Gold. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gold jumps into guard, dragging Red Eagle to the mat.

Red Eagle wanted to stand there but Gold had control of the position.

Red Eagle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gold has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Red Eagle has managed to get both his arms back between Gold's legs - danger averted.
Red Eagle wants to get up but he can't break Gold's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Red Eagle stands and steps away. Gold gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Red Eagle fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Red Eagle cracks Gold with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gold tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Red Eagle pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gold is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chief Red Eagle!
A relieved looking Chief Red Eagle thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
