Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beau Lauzon (ranked 4356 p4p, 24502 weight class) and Terry White (ranked 535 p4p, 653 weight class). Lauzon comes to the cage accompanied by Vitamin R (Leading Us Along) by Chevelle. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

A punch combination from White misses.
Lauzon shoots in and drives through. White sprawls well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from White! But no joy.

Lauzon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

White circles away from the clinch attempt.
Good standup being displayed there by Lauzon as he connects with a hook.
White leaves Lauzon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lauzon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has White pinned against the cage. White gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

White swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lauzon.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lauzon drops down looking for an ankle pick but White pulls his leg out and moves away.
White misses with a wild body shot.
Lauzon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. White manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

White gets a takedown into half guard.
White tries to stand and escape but Lauzon is controlling the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Beau Lauzon will probably get the nod.

White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lauzon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Lauzon's legs - danger averted.

Lauzon is looking to cinch up a triangle. White throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lauzon's body to avoid the submission. Lauzon has instead reached around White's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lauzon arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
