Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Tiernan (ranked 1955 p4p, 3061 weight class) and Elliot Johnson (ranked 228 p4p, 322 weight class). Johnson has chosen Tyron Woodley as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.

Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
A low kick from Tiernan is predictable there
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tiernan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tiernan changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Johnson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Johnson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tiernan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tiernan showed some decent athleticism there.
Tiernan wants to pass to mount but Johnson is defending the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tiernan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tiernan is looking for a choke. Johnson gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Johnson manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Tiernan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Tiernan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tiernan tries to pass to full mount but Johnson defends it.

Tiernan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tiernan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Tiernan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tiernan uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson.
Johnson is desperately trying to improve his position but Tiernan has a good base and remains in mount.

Johnson is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Tiernan has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tiernan misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
