Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Nimoy (ranked 1807 p4p, 1311 weight class) and Leroy Jinx (ranked 249 p4p, 187 weight class). Jinx has chosen What It's Like as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Nimoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leroy Jinx!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Nimoy does no damage.
Jinx throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jinx throws a nice head kick!
Nimoy has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jinx.
A jab from Jinx finds it's way through Nimoy's defenses.
Jinx thumps Nimoy with a low kick.
Nimoy ducks right into an uppercut from Jinx.
Jinx tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nimoy was well out of range. Poor timing from Jinx.
Jinx is looking to slow Nimoy down with leg kicks.
Jinx slips a jab and a cross from Nimoy.
Jinx feints and then cracks Nimoy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nimoy down.
Jinx has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Nimoy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jinx thinking.
Nimoy misses with a low kick.
We've been told by Nimoy's head coaches at Outlier Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jinx throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nimoy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nimoy blocks a low kick nicely.
Nimoy throws a nice looking combination but Jinx bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nimoy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jinx manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A nice side step and Jinx releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Jinx scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

It looks like Leonard Nimoy has been cut.
Jinx fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Nimoy is breathing heavily.
Jinx misses with a hook to the ribs.
Jinx doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jinx misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Jinx lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Jinx escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jinx throws a head kick that Nimoy semi-blocks.
Jinx stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

A little jabbing left from Jinx on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jinx looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jinx feints and then cracks Nimoy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nimoy down.
Jinx cracks Nimoy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jinx lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Jinx tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nimoy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nimoy tries to bum rush Jinx with a series of wild strikes but Jinx uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nimoy throws a nice looking combination but Jinx bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jinx scores with a decent looking hook.

Nimoy is rocked!
Nimoy misses with a few strikes there.
Oh Nimoy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jinx moves into the clinch successfully.
Nimoy seems to have got his legs back now.
Nimoy takes a shot to the head.

Nimoy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jinx.

Nimoy fails to land with a series of punches.
Jinx steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Nimoy.

Jinx is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Nimoy had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Jinx walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Nimoy drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Jinx swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Nimoy's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
