Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Derrick Thomas (ranked 6433 p4p, 6665 weight class) and Kevin Faulk (ranked 191 p4p, 231 weight class). Kevin Faulk told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Faulk!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Thomas misses.
Thomas slips a jab from Faulk.
Thomas is looking to counter punch.
Faulk throws a hook but Thomas blocks it.
Faulk is looking to land body kicks.
Thomas seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Thomas just misses with a punch to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Faulk misses the target.
Thomas misses with a body kick.
Faulk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thomas.
Faulk missing with a left hand there. Thomas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A slow jab from Faulk misses its intended target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomas shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Faulk connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Thomas is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Faulk connects with a quick right hand that sends Thomas tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
