Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Dalborg (ranked 2249 p4p, 2156 weight class) and Joao Apolinario (ranked 303 p4p, 291 weight class). Dalborg comes to the cage accompanied by Slipnot - Solway Firth. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Dalborg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Apolinario! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalborg lands a two punch combo.
We've been informed that Apolinario has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Apolinario shoots in looking for a takedown. Dalborg tries to sprawl out of it but Apolinario keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dalborg manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Apolinario tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dalborg defends well and Apolinario ends up having to push Dalborg into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Dalborg seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Apolinario looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Joao Apolinario seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Apolinario walks into a left hand. Apolinario has his takedown stuffed and Dalborg counters with a straight right hand. Dennis Dalborg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joao Apolinario. Dalborg ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dalborg feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Apolinario sprawling to the canvas! Apolinario rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dalborg finish him?!
 It looks like Joao Apolinario has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dalborg cracks Apolinario with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Apolinario looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away� can Dalborg finish him?
 Apolinario is rocked! Dalborg slaps away a takedown attempt from Apolinario, before circling back to the center of the mat. Apolinario is still on wobbly legs! Can Dalborg finish him? Crack! Dalborg connects with the perfect overhand right and Apolinario falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Dalborg!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dennis Dalborg! Dennis Dalborg was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
