Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ou (ranked 24576 p4p, 24795 weight class) and Romega Vartanein (ranked 276 p4p, 292 weight class). Ou comes to the cage accompanied by Life Will Change. Romega Vartanein will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Ou! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Romega Vartanein! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ou tries for a takedown but Vartanein circles away easily and Vartanein counters with a lovely shot to the body. Vartanein scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A punch lands to the side of Ou 's head but he takes it in his stride. Ou with a poor takedown and Ou takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ou is looking to clinch. Ou shoots and misses and Vartanein cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Ou. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vartanein jabs at Ou's body. Vartanein with a nice cross. Vartanein is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Vartanein circles away from the clinch attempt enabling Vartanein to counter with a crisp jab. Vartanein is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vartanein slips a jab from Ou. Vartanein looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Ou has been working on his balance at MMA LA , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Vartanein. Ou drives through and clinches with Vartanein against the cage.
Vartanein pushes off an throws an elbow but Ou leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Vartanein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ou rushes Vartanein and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Vartanein stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Vartanein manages to break the clinch.
Ou drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vartanein tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. You can see the frustration on Vartanein's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ou is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Vartanein tries to roll but Ou sticks to his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ou has got his arm under Vartanein's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Vartanein has spun round into Ou's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Vartanein sitting in guard here, content to control. Ou has his hands on Vartanein's head, controlling the position. Ou is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vartanein looking to sit in guard and control but Ou gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ou stopping the sweep attempt from Vartanein. Ou looking to sit in guard and control but Vartanein gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ou controls Vartanein momentarily but Vartanein frees himself. Vartanein engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Vartanein is working Ou over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ou pulls Vartanein in close to prevent any damage. Ou throws his legs up looking for a submission but Vartanein uses it to pass to side control.
Ou manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ou is looking to advance position but Vartanein won't allow it. Vartanein wants to improve his position but Ou is controlling well.
Vartanein is looking to escape. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Romega Vartanein dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Vartanein lands with a cross. Ou throws a wild body kick that Vartanein sees coming a mile off. A countering left hand to the body from Vartanein misses. Vartanein connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Vartanein has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ou lands a big head kick that sends Vartanein tumbling to the mat! Ou takes a step backwards and waves Vartanein back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Romega Vartanein has been cut. Ou fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vartanein avoids it really well and circles away. Vartanein is still on wobbly legs! Can Ou finish him? Vartanein connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ou momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ou keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vartanein seems to have recovered his senses. Vartanein fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Vartanein's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ou under the eye.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vartanein catches Ou with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Ou shoots in but no luck this time. Vartanein scores with a jab to the head.
Ou throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vartanein, as that shot connected.
Ou shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vartanein as he jumps to the side. A little jabbing left from Vartanein on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Ou. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ou tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Vartanein is able to avoid easily. Ou has his takedown stuffed and Vartanein counters with a lovely shot to the body. Ou fails with a takedown attempt. A countering left hand to the body from Vartanein misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ou closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Ou shoots and misses and Vartanein counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Vartanein scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Vartanein has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ou pushes Vartanein up against the cage in a clinch. Vartanein avoiding damage as Ou throws knees to the body.
Ou tries a body shot but Vartanein blocks it.

Vartanein wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vartanein lands with a right hand. Ou throws a series of punches but Vartanein avoids them all with ease. Ou takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Joe Ou is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ou tries to clinch up and Vartanein counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ou tries for a takedown but Vartanein circles away easily and Vartanein cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Vartanein scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Ou will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ou shoots for a double leg takedown but Vartanein sprawls well. He's pushed Ou's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Vartanein looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vartanein lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Ou swings widly with a right hand

Ou is rocked! Ou fails with a takedown attempt. Oh Ou is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vartanein lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Romega Vartanein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Romega Vartanein's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Ou lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Ou seems to have got his legs back now. Ou tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vartanein paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ou tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Romega Vartanein seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ou has managed to clinch.
Vartanein lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Ou tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Vartanein breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vartanein displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ou. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ou misses with a head kick.
Vartanein looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Ou fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ou looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Ou tries for a takedown but Vartanein circles away easily and Vartanein counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Ou. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ou moves to clinch but Vartanein breaks away and Vartanein counters with a nice body shot. Ou fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vartanein avoids it really well and circles away. Vartanein doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Ou misses with a takedown attempt enabling Vartanein to counter with a crisp jab. Joe Ou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vartanein is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Ou walks into a left hand. Vartanein scores with a sloppy right hand. Ou should have avoided that one. Vartanein cracks a nice hook into Ou's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vartanein uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ou has time to react. Ou wants to clinch but Vartanein slips to the side and Vartanein makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Vartanein jabs at Ou's body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ou on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Vartanein lands with a hook. Ou tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Ou fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vartanein avoids it really well and circles away. Vartanein let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Ou has his takedown stuffed and Vartanein counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vartanein drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Ou right on the button. Ou goes down! Vartanein follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Vartanein gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Romega Vartanein! After the fight, Romega Vartanein was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Joe Ou spoke after the fight, saying 'troll'.
