Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Severo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hetfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Severo comes to the cage accompanied by Hallowed Be Thy Name. Hetfield comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Creeping Death kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Severo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Severo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hetfield trying to control the position from guard on top but Severo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hetfield must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Severo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hetfield is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Severo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hetfield's back instead.
Severo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hetfield knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hetfield for a finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Severo tries to get the hooks in deep but Hetfield pushed the leg off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Severo throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Severo thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Hetfield really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Severo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hetfield covering up well and avoiding damage.
Severo is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Severo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Severo is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Severo has got one arm under Hetfield's chin. This could be trouble... Hetfield trying to control the other hand but Severo gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Hetfield has tapped out! The fight is over!
