Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ciryl Gane (ranked 4621 p4p, 4620 weight class) and Jiri Rakic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ciryl Gane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jiri Rakic!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rakic swats away the attempt to clinch by Gane.
Gane gets a double leg takedown into Rakic's guard.
Rakic pushes Gane off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Gane blocks a head kick by Rakic.
Rakic shoots in for a double leg but Gane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rakic to the mat! Rakic manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rakic working for submissions but it's allowed Gane to get to half guard.
Gane scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Gane tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rakic controls his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rakic is not content to let Gane control the position.
Rakic trying to control but Gane postures up.
Rakic is staying active underneath Gane, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Rakic manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Sloppy strikes from Gane. Those never looked like landing.
Gane gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gane prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gane could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rakic manages to break the clinch.
Gane dives in and scores a takedown into Rakic's guard.
Rakic wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Gane manages to pass to side control.
Gane is trying to control the action in half guard but Rakic is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Well, if Gane is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Rakic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Gane with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Gane tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rakic controls his leg.
Rakic is trying to control but can't.
Gane is looking to stall here but Rakic recovers full guard.
Gane drops back looking for a leg! Rakic is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rakic manages to kick Gane off! Gane jumps back into Rakic's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rakic doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Gane trying to control but Rakic is working from the bottom.
Gane has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rakic is proving hard to escape from.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rakic throws a series of punches but Gane moves out of range.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ciryl Gane will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Gane slaps away a takedown attempt from Rakic, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rakic fails with a takedown attempt.
Gane throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rakic tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gane is in Rakic's guard.
Rakic manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ciryl Gane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jiri Rakic.
Gane gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Gane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rakic tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gane throws a nice looking combination but Rakic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rakic wants to clinch.
Gane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gane leaves Rakic with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gane closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gane lands in his opponent's guard.
Rakic manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Rakic is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gane tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rakic avoids it.
Rakic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gane shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rakic manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Gane keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rakic tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gane smiles and moves away.
Gane drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rakic is wriggling around but Gane manages to pass to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gane is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Rakic gets back to full guard.
Gane sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Gane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gane working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rakic's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rakic keeping moving, preventing Gane from controlling successfully.
Gane in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Rakic manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gane manages to get himself to full guard.
Rakic is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gane has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rakic is looking to defend but Gane has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rakic! Gane pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rakic taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ciryl Gane!
